Home sales in Ogden-area were up 29.81 percent last month from the same month in 2011, the WFR multiple listing service reported last week.
In October, a total of 104 homes sold in the area, up 19.23 percent from September levels. The number of sales registered last month was the highest October home sales level in Ogden-area since 2009.
WFR multiple listing service reported 162 homes under contract in October but not yet closed, up 14.20 percent from October 2011, but down 4.14 percent from September.
Homes said to sold at an average price of $112,950 last month, versus $124,000 in September and $97,000 in October the year before.
Homes that were sold in the month prior spent an average of 60 days in the market, sold faster than the last year pace where days on the market for sold homes averaged 90 days.
